The following work might be from my experiences with film, curatorial work or just for fun

Update: Ground Floor Gallery has lights now!

The gallery space that I founded in an unappreciated hallway has professional exhibition lights. I have so much pride that this space is still functioning. I haven't stopped in as much as I'd like to see what kind of photography is being shown, but I'm happy knowing that the department and the University of La Verne believed in this space.

A broken fibula injury ended La Verne junior defensive back Josh Hardy's postseason game in the third quarter against St. Thomas on Dec. 4, 2015. Head Coach Chris Krich, players and trainers rain out to Hardy when the play was stopped.

CAMPUS TIMES/HELEN ARASE

Quick Photoshop work tonight, 11/4/16:

Layered a (shorter) long exposure of clouds behind the moon. Long exposure by itself rendered the moon a huge white spotlight.

A short video, associated with my "70 Years Later" project, of my first visit to an internment camp.

This video is already on my 70 Years Later section but it just occurred to me that it could live here too. Video for a choice of content photography assignment.
